Monel 400 Sheet & Strip for Custom Springs and Stampings

Please note that we do not sell Monel 400 or any other materials in raw form. Monel 400 sheet and strip are material options for custom springs, etc., manufactured by Peninsula Spring.

Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy that exhibits good resistance to sea water and steam at high temperatures, as well as resistance to salt and caustic solutions. This alloy is particularly resistant to de-aerated hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids. As expected for alloys with high copper content, Monel 400 is rapidly attacked by nitric acid and ammonia.

Heat Treating Monel 400

Monel 400 is delivered in pre-tempered condition, thus, no further hardening can be achieved through heat treating. Depending on your application, however, completed Monel 400 flat springs and sheet metal stampings will undergo a stress-relieving process.

Manufacturing Custom Monel 400 Springs & Stampings

Monel 400 is cold drawn to the required temper. It exhibits good corrosion resistance at moderately elevated temperatures.
