17-7 Stainless Steel Wire for Custom Springs & Wire Forms
Please note that we do not sell 17-7 PH stainless steel wire or any other materials in raw form. Stainless steel is a material option for custom springs, wire forms, etc., manufactured by Peninsula Spring.
17-7 PH is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel that provides high strength and hardness, excellent fatigue properties, good corrosion resistance, good formability, and minimum distortion upon heat treatment. 17-7 stainless steel wire provides valuable property combinations that are well-suited to aerospace applications and other applications that require high strength and corrosion resistance.
High strength 17-7 PH stainless steel wire is ideal for custom flat springs and custom wire forms used in fresh water, industrial, and marine atmospheres, as well as mild chemical and oxidizing environments. It provides uncompromised performance in temperatures up to 650°F (343°C). 17-7 stainless should not be used in salt water or reducing environments.
