AISI 301 Stainless Steel Sheet & Strip for Custom Springs & Stampings
Please note that we do not sell AISI 301 stainless steel strip or sheet, or any other materials, in raw form. Stainless steel is a material option for custom springs, etc., manufactured by Peninsula Spring.
AISI 301 stainless steel is the most common and affordable type of stainless alloys. It exhibits good corrosion resistance as well as excellent spring properties. AISI 301 stainless steel can be used for high temperatures up to 550°F (288°C).
AISI 301 stainless steel is ideal for custom flat springs and custom sheet metal stampings that require resistance to corrosion and elevated temperatures. Contact Peninsula Spring to discuss the material requirements of your custom manufacturing project.
Nominal Chemical & Physical Properties

Heat Treating AISI 301 Stainless Steel
AISI 301 stainless steel delivered in pre-tempered condition. Therefore, no further hardening can be obtained through heating. Depending on the application, however, completed flat springs and sheet metal stampings will undergo a stress-relieving process.
Manufacturing Custom Springs & Stampings with 301 Stainless Steel
AISI 301 stainless steel is cold drawn to the required temper.
